Snow Day Creations...take 2

Like I said...I am learning...so here are a few more pics of some the metal plate creations. I can see that my camera is not the best, either. I think that my computer has a photo editing program. I will have to see if it makes my pictures look any better!

Snow Day Creations

Well, here I am...finally! I have been admiring everyone else's blogs for the past year and have decided that I really need to have one myself! I have had this blog for quite some time, but am just now figuring out how to use it. I am still learning, so please be patient!

We had a snow day yesterday and today was actually a "bitterly cold" day, so I had a little time to be creative. I am also new to cottage/mixed media/collage style. I LOVE IT! I am not sure if I what I have created fits under this category, but I am trying. I have been doing a lot of primtive/country style creations over the past 8-10 years, so I am enjoying something a little different!

I bought these little metal plates back in October...$12 for 8 of them, and a weird variety of colors...2 black, 2 white, 2 yellow, 1 bright orange, and 1 coral. A few of them look as those they had a floral design in the middle. I figured that I could do something with them...

Little Pumpkin Bundts

I made these little pumpkin bread bundt cakes yesterday. They are so cute! I put them in the freezer until this weekend when I will drizzle some frosting over them, bag them up and include them in the goodie bags I plan to give to family and friends.

Ok, I am going to try this blog thing again. I finally figured out how to add a new background, other blogs, music, etc. I had time to work on it today since I was sick and sat in the easy chair all day and watched Lifetime! I will begin to add more pictures and a link to my etsy site as a I add product to that! Check back often!

Finally! I have figured out blogging!!! I am so excited to be a part of this! I have read so many awesome junking and crafting blogs. I cannot wait to share some of my trash to treasure with this great community!!!!
I am going to post some pics of projects that I have done. Please forgive the photography. I do not think that I have the best camera!!!

Probably my favorite -- a generous-sized bag made from a beautiful old tablecloth!

This is much smaller than it looks in this pic - about 4x4!old distressed frame with some new scrappin paper+ an old broach + some text from an old book

Distressed old frame, some new scrapbooking paper + old rick rack & gummed letters

Fantastic Fruit:
a handbag made out of an old t-towel
and thrift store skirt!!
