I'm still here....

Yes...I am still alive! It has been almost a month since my last post. Life has just been absolutely crazy. Upon returning home from Albuquerque, I had a 20 page paper to write about the trip! So, that took up a lot of quality time! Then, I had to start getting my classroom ready for the first day of school...and all those wonderful teacher inservice days came along, too. But, the most important thing I had to prepare for was sending my firstborn off to kindergarten. Actually, nothing could have prepared me for this. I cried buckets...

Here is Sam on the morning of his first day.

All dressed and waiting for the bus!

Ben with Sam

Sam showing off his backpack (Ben thought he needed to turn around, too!)

Close up shot...he always looks the other direction when I do this!

I love this. He totally caught me off guard. I wish I had gotten his arms in this, too. I don't know why he was so excited!

Waiting for the bus...I did not, however, get any pictures of him getting on the bus. I was too upset and TRYING VERY HARD to hold back the tears so that he would not get upset, too. I am STILL having a little trouble with him being in school. I find myself in the middle of the day wondering about what he is doing and if he is ok. I suppose I will always do that, even when they are both grown and on thier own!

Still getting ready for Junk Bonanza!

Finally heading home!!!

I am sitting in the Albuquerque airport waiting to come home from my graduate school trip. We have been here for a week and here are just a few of the sites we have seen... Remains of Pueblo Bonito at Chaco Canyon

The spiral staircase with no nails at the Loretto Church in Santa Fe

One of my favorite stops - El Sanctuario de Chimayo near Santa Fe. This is the church with the "healing dirt." Many with disabilities, illnesses, etc have walked away cured after touching the dirt. I brought home two small baggies of the dirt!

The New Mexican scenery.
