my other job...is it the 3rd or 4th one??

Some days it seems like I have 3 or 4 jobs...teacher, mom, junker, crafter....Anyway, I have also been selling this jewelry since about October. I have posted about it before, but thought I would do it again. I just love this stuff!!! It is all hand-made, in California...

Relaxing...

that is what I have been doing this week! After working late every night last week to get ready for my sales I find myself hardly even thinking about heading to the basement to work...so, there won't be tons of new items since last weekend, but there is STILL tons of stuff crammed into that little shed of mine!

And...as I am writing this I am watching the rain - lots and lots of rain!! So, once again my yard and back driveway will be flooded and I will have to ask again that customers park on the road....so sorry! At least it looks like it will be warmer this Friday and Saturday...

See you then!

OPEN THIS FRIDAY NIGHT, TOO!!!!!

that's right -- I will be open Friday night from 5:00-8:00 pm in addition to being open Saturday from 8:00-noon!! Hopefully, the weather will agree with us on one of these days!

See you then!

5 customers + 1 purchase = an even bigger & better sale next saturday!

That's right ~ it is 11:15 and so far the sale has been pretty slow. That's ok, though, because it means the shed is already set and ready to go...AND I can create even more recycled treasures for next saturday!!!

Hopefully, it will not rain as much and be a little warmer next saturday!

Again - hope to see you then! Tell all your friends!

Still Open....

YES, I will be open tomorrow.

There is a lot of water in the front yard AND it is extremely muddy....why? Some of you have asked me why we have such a muddy yard. The very front part of our yard runs right a long the road, so it is actually the road ditch. We also use this part of the yard as the driveway into one our fields.  AND, last fall we were lucky enough to get rural water which required tons of digging, most of which we have not yet seeded with grass.

So, that's the story...but, honestly, I don't care and I am not going to get too upset about it. Every time it rains too much I remind myself of New Orleans, Cedar Rapids, and now, Nashville. I have NOTHING to complain about. I have a house that is not under ten feet of water, so things are OK.

Hope to see many of you on Saturday...

I almost forgot -- my address!! I have been so caught up in everything that I had not posted my address on here yet...

2206 200th St
Marengo
- - only about a mile north of the Marengo/North English exit
- - it is right on the corner of 200th and the highway, you can't miss it!

Saturday Plans...

It has only been a few hours since my last post but in that short time while I was setting up in the shed I decided that I am having this sale -- NO MATTER WHAT!! However, in order to have it I will need to let all of you know some things in regards to the possibility of the river running through my front yard...

...you may have to park on the road (that would make it seem like a real flea market!). I will have signs posted for parking locations. Normally, I would let you park in our driveway but I have a feeling that it will be just as muddy as the front yard and the gravel situation is NOT plentiful right now (thanks to the lovely winter we had).

...please wear shoes that are NOT your favorite -- old sneakers, rain boots, etc. because the grass will more than likely be wet, too.

...sorry for the inconveniences, but I really want to have this sale and want to have as many of you there as possible!

I took a few pictures tonight as I was setting up...still lots more to set up tomorrow and Friday!

HOPE TO SEE YOU SATURDAY!!!

Praying...

that is what I am doing - praying for good weather!!! I think that it is just my fate that the weather is ALWAYS bad for my sale dates!! :( Anyway, I am going to try my hardest to have this sale on Saturday NO MATTER WHAT! I have lots of stuff to sell!!

I will keep you posted! AND, pictures of all the set up in the shed coming soon...

More Signs of Spring

Some repurposed jewelry...Sorry, the dress form IS NOT for sale. It is my mom's. She MADE it in college!

More repurposed STUFF...

SNEEK PEAK of some fabrics that I made into bags...none of the bags I made are anything fancy but are all made from vintage fabrics, tablecloths, draperies,
t-towels, etc. Alot of these items are a little worn, faded and even stretched out. Keep that in mind when looking at the bags. It is not like purchasing a brand new item. Many of the bags that I have made in the past I have used for less strenuous tasks - taking to the pool/beach, occasional shopping, overnight to Grandma's, etc. Either way, you can't beat some of these great prints!!

If you plan to attend Signs of Spring on Saturday you might want to come wearing some of these...Even if it is not raining it will be outside in the yard and the grass will be wet!!!
AND, the forecast for Saturday is looking a little chilly...so I might even roll out the firepit to keep us warm!!

More pictures to come...keep cheking back!
