YES, there be a little holiday preview....hard to think about Christmas already, not so hard to think about cooler weather!!!!

Help me out!!! I need Ideas....

Ok, first of all, please forgive the fogged over photography...forgot to let my camera "adjust" to the humidity before I took these pictures...

I found these in my Grandma's attic. My mom told me that she and her brother gave them to my grandparents for their 30th wedding anniversary. I was a little confused, since my Grandma's house was all turquoise, pink, green...her kitchen did have yellow, but more like bright yellow and blue...not sure why my mom and my uncle chose these for my Grandparents. Anyway, I still think they are kind of unique and thought I could use them in my FCS classroom, more specifically, the kitchens.

Both my classroom and my kitchens have a black/white/red/hot pink color scheme...some Parisian stuff in my classroom and more foodish stuff in the kitchens.  What should I do with these??? Spray paint them??? The frames are wood and the pictures are lightweight plastic, three-demensional (the pots, eggs, and oranges 'pop' out).

HELP!!!! Any ideas would be appreciated!!!!



Busy, Busy, Busy

Here are just a few things you will see at Summer Junk Market....

I have been wanting to make the bed spring flower vases for awhile, but had trouble finding test tubes. As I was taking these pictures I realized that both of these items are kind of more for the spring season....but I think you make them work for fall and winter, too. You could add mums or dried flowers for fall and pine and berries for winter...

The following items are actually going to be on their way to Oklahoma this week...hoping to be sold by a friend of a friend at her new business. She wanted faith-based creations. I hope she likes them! Don't worry, I will make some for Summer Junk Market, too!

Summer so far....

As a teacher, I always look forward to summer and think that I am going to get soooo much done....I've been teaching for 13 years and have yet to go through a summer and get everything  accomplished on my to-do list. And, I've decided that the summers before I had kids that I must have been completely lazy. I should have been getting TONS of things done back then!!

Anyway, among the baseball games, swimming lessons, wrestling camp, and science camp, I have managed to get some junking and creating done....

Vintage sales rack for Duratite....not sure what that was, but liked the color and size

This bird cage is not that old...any ideas on HOW to make it look older? It came with a great stand, that is also not too old!

TONS of old berry baskets....I have some great plans for these!

I've not only been busy creating for Summer Junk Market (coming up July 27-28), but also for another flower shop that is now featuring my creations. My good friend, Allison, opened The Back Porch Flowers and Gifts in Marengo, Iowa last Monday, July 2nd. Here are a few of the items that are featured at her shop...

And...the good news is that lots of my stuff has already sold! Need to get back to work!
