Praying...

that is what I am doing - praying for good weather!!! I think that it is just my fate that the weather is ALWAYS bad for my sale dates!! :( Anyway, I am going to try my hardest to have this sale on Saturday NO MATTER WHAT! I have lots of stuff to sell!!

More repurposed STUFF...

SNEEK PEAK of some fabrics that I made into bags...none of the bags I made are anything fancy but are all made from vintage fabrics, tablecloths, draperies,

t-towels, etc. Alot of these items are a little worn, faded and even stretched out. Keep that in mind when looking at the bags. It is not like purchasing a brand new item. Many of the bags that I have made in the past I have used for less strenuous tasks - taking to the pool/beach, occasional shopping, overnight to Grandma's, etc. Either way, you can't beat some of these great prints!!

If you plan to attend Signs of Spring on Saturday you might want to come wearing some of these...Even if it is not raining it will be outside in the yard and the grass will be wet!!!

AND, the forecast for Saturday is looking a little chilly...so I might even roll out the firepit to keep us warm!!

That's right - I am doing mark downs as I write this post. I still have lots of great stuff left over from last fall's trip to Junk Bonanza...and as many of you know I was not so lucky with my Harvest of Junk sale in October (tons of rain and only about 5 customers!)...so that means I need to get rid of some of the old to make room for all of the new!

Getting Ready for Signs of Spring...

Again, I had great intentions for the weekend. I wanted to get lots done for my "Signs of Spring" sales in May (see schedule at end of this post). With absolutely no plans or commitments I thought that I could get tons done. Then, about 10:00 yesterday morning the headache of the year arrived. I say "of the year" because I rarely get headaches of this magnitude. The back of my neck, around my eyes, and my jaw ached. I took Advil all day long, but still could barely get out of bed! I watched lots of Lifetime, Soapnet, and the Criminal Minds marathon on A & E...and thought about how much I wasn't getting done!

Today, however, was much more productive.


Here are a couple pieces that I picked up last week. This picture makes this look much bigger, but it actually just a small dresser.

Found this little table at the auction, too. It was a dark stain. Today I painted it this robin's egg color. Should I keep it this color? I plan to distress it, too.

And now, for my newest creations...this makes me nervous. This is my first try at mixing/repurposing vintage jewelry. Some of this came from ebay, some from local auctions, and some from my Grandma. Tell me what you think!

PLEASE read my blog regularly, however, for possible changes in this schedule. The only reason that I would close would be due to weather. If there is a rain/thunderstorm than I will more than likely be closed! I will keep the blog updated as much as possible during the days before each sale.

AND, remember that if you are coming from out of town that you can make a day out of it!!

I am only about 5 minutes from the Tanger Factory Outlet Center. AND, for more antique shopping, I am about a half an hour from Kalona and about 15 minutes from the Amana Colonies.

World's Worst Blogger...

That's me! Yes, I am the world's worst blogger. I have no excuse. I am sure that I am no busier than anyone else in blogland. So, all I can do is aplogize and let you know what unimportant things have been keeping me busy.

After Daytona there honestly was not an entirely free weekend again until the end of March! This included a girls' scrapbooking weekend, a Women of Faith conference, our school carnival, and other numerous events. And, I have been trying to be creative here and there as well.

I have also managed to hit a couple of auctions over the last few weekends. Found some great stuff. Will show pictures in a post later this week (really, I will!)

I have also nailed down the dates for my 2010 sales. If you gave me your mailing address than look for the information to be coming soon! I will also post the dates on here. I am looking forward to being open more often and hopefully meeting some of you at my sales.
