~ my classrooms ~

I have shown some pictures from my classrooms in the past, but I have new kitchens in my foods classroom and I added some different stuff this year, so I thought I would show them again.

All of these items are on top of the cabinets in the four kitchens in the Foods classroom...
vintage spice tins

vintage picnic basket & thermos

Chicken salt & pepper shaker and $.50 clearance plate from Hobby Lobby that I embellished using the cricut

great blue mixer & scale -- picture not so great! :(

vintage set of pyrex (from this classroom -- lots of vintage stuff here!)

canister set

another embellished plate

MY GRANDMA'S mixer...

getting started on some Halloween decorating

better picture of all the NEW cabinets and countertops...old ones were 40+ years old!

In my regular classroom ~ ~

Shelves at the back of my regular classroom...I painted white and added the black ric rac on the edges. The framed McCalls magazine was my Grandma's. She gave this to me at one of my bridal showers.

Blingy black chandie...

More clearance finds from Hobby Lobby...

the book shelf behind my desk...kind of a 'catch all.'  I just bought the SELF SERVICE sign at Junk Bonanza specifically to hang in my classroom, just haven't found a good spot for it yet. I don't think my students get it...the other side says FULL SERVICE, but I will never let them see that!

LOVE my stapler & tape dispenser...Thank you again, Hobby Lobby!

MORE goods from the Hobby Lobby clearance...seriously, I paid less than $5 each for these!

SORRY, but yet again more Hobby Lobby....

My chalkboard and counter...always a mess...pictures of Dale, Jr (from the Daytona 500 a few yrs ago) and one of Jon BonJovi (from concert a few summers ago) hanging on the right side...and some funny Diesel jeans ad with a cute little boy on the left side...Needless to say, I am a collector. And, that color wheel...found it in one of the cabinets...guessing it is 40+ years old, too!

Lastly, this hangs on my podium...every year. The font and the background paper may change, but the quote stays the same...it is soooooo true!  Its the first thing the kids see when they start my class. However, I think I need one hanging at the back of the room for me to see and always remember, too. :)

Love the decor in your kitchen areas. And the cabinets and countertops. I need new countertops so bad. I love vintage dishes and items. Don't you just love Hobby Lobby and their mark downs??. Love the saying in the last picture. Have a great day.
